   Need to link a subcategory with two folders with many articles from one parent category to a subcategory in another parent category. Can this be done without having to go into each of the subcategory folder articles and re-creating all the folders?

   There is no way to link one subcategory to many categories.
   You have to create required categories and update articles, add them to this categories.
   One article can belong to many categories.
   Bulk Update on article list screen (Actions with selected -> Add to category) will help you to assign articles to more categories.
